Jim has been an integral part of Lipten Company for over 25 years. Jim has extensive experience in all facets of the steam and energy industries. As CEO, Jim leads the philosophy, policies and practices of the company as well as being a key contributor in the sales and business development efforts.
Jim Marshall, President
Jim supervises Lipten’s overall operations, overseeing all departments and directing the day-to-day activities. He plays a crucial role in all aspects of Lipten’s EPC efforts and is a critical force behind Lipten’s commitment to the client and project execution excellence. Jim is a graduate of the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Electronic Engineering.
Frank Hrlic, P.E., MBA, Director of Procurement, I.T. & Contract Management
Frank manages corporate procurement, contracting and information technologies. In his 12+ years with the company, Frank has been a key influence in Lipten’s long term success. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer with the state of Michigan. Frank also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the prestigious Lawrence Technological University.
John Ingraham, MBA, Proposal Development Manager
John leads cross-functional project teams composed of various engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, controls, civil and structural), construction managers and project managers throughout the design, budgeting and proposal generation process. John has expertise in team leadership, data analysis and technical writing. John completed his undergraduate studies at Michigan State University and received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree from Wayne State University.
Mike Huntress, MBA, Engineering Manager
Mike leads the Lipten Engineering department consisting of mechanical, electrical, controls, civil and structural engineers as well as Computer Aided Design (CAD) professionals. He is a senior engineer and manager with proven success in combining business and technical expertise to optimize processes, improve quality and reliability, control costs, reduce capital expenditures and maximize customer satisfaction for fortune 500 companies. He is a team leader adept at partnering staff capabilities with project requirements to ensure project efficiency and success. Mike effectively leads mission-critical projects providing significant value to Lipten customers. Mike has a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He is a member of several professional organizations including: International Facility Management Association (IFMA), Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
Dan Tavernit, Controls Product Manager
Dan has primary responsibility of the Lipten controls product line of CombusionPac branded boiler control systems and custom balance of plant control systems. Dan is also in charge of scheduling Lipten field technicians. Dan has significant controls expertise and is particularly versed in Allen-Bradley PLC-based controls.
