Both times John has provide valuable advice and service to help us to convert boilers from coal to natural gas, to engineer a new economizer for an existing boiler, and to help us develop a plan for a boiler at the end of it's lifecycle.

WIXOM, Michigan, March 29, 2012 -- Lipten announced today that it has secured an engineering, procurement and startup contract for an Iraq Ministry of Oil facility in Basrah, Iraq. The project involves a new 500,000 lb/hr superheated steam plant, 450 gpm water deionizing plant, 180 CFM nitrogen production plant and 4,400 CFM compressed air plant. Lipten was awarded this contract by Grimley Smith Associates (GSA) of the United Kingdom. Lipten will work closely with GSA to integrate the engineering, procurement and construction needs of the project into a seamless turn-key project for the Iraq Ministry of Oil.

"We look forward to demonstrating that Lipten’s comprehensive EPC expertise together with our partners’ expertise will provide the Iraq Ministry of Oil with a safe, reliable and cost-effective solution for the refinery’s new Central Utility Plant," said James Spencer, president and CEO of Lipten. Jim Marshall, Vice President of Operations at Lipten Company, added, “Lipten and our partners are looking forward to demonstrating our shared commitment to providing the Iraq Ministries of Trade with on-time and on-budget results.”

Lipten and the project team intend to actively engage the very knowledgeable and experienced local supply chain companies and refinery workforce to ensure that the project significantly contributes to the overall economy in Iraq. When practical, equipment sourcing from within the United States will also be a priority.

Lipten management has spent several weeks in the Middle East to solidify relationships with our partners in the United States and abroad.
